Itinerary
Day 1 MARRAKECH -> TICHKA PASS HIGH –> AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH –> ZAGORA –> CAMEL RIDE -> OVERNIGHT AT THE DESERT CAMP
• After breakfast at your accommodations in Marrakech, a member of our team will pick you up and we’ll head to the desert of Zagora via the scenic High Atlas Mountains, stopping several times for photo opportunities.
• Then it’s on to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNSECO Heritage site and the largest and the oldest Kasbah in Morocco, several movies have been filmed there, including The Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones and The Jewel of the Nile.
• After lunch, you will have time to explore the kasbah and then we’ll continue to Zagora.
• In Zagora, you’ll head out on camels into the Sahara Desert where you will become more than just a tourist. You’ll spend the night in tents in our comfortable desert camp. Dinner will be served under the stars.
Day 2 ZAGORA –> OUARZAZAT –> MARRAKECH
• In the morning, your camel guide will awaken you to enjoy the beauty of the sunrise over the dunes. This experience is considered one of the trip’s highlights.
• After your breakfast in the desert camp, you’ll ride your camels back to the town of Zagora.
• We’ll then head back toward Marrakech via the scenic Draa Valley with its palm groves, kasbahs, the Taourirte Kasbah in Ouarzazat.
